Inner Fire Healing Water
 
On the  first day I began creating this flute within the grain both on the outside and even stronger on the inside when I split the wood I saw fire. The great transmuting force.  The giver of warmth and light. The energy that burns within us with so much power. Father Sun was shining on that day for the first time in a long time and it was so nice to feel his radiant, nurturing  energy as this flute came into being. After couple weeks away, I  continued my journey with this flute.  Again the sun was shining. I felt the fire within her and there was something more. In the early morning I gave a water blessing to the stream next to my home and later when I picked up this flute the first thing I noticed was another pattern in the grain I hadn’t noticed before.  It was like the ripples that raindrops make when they land in water. Beautiful healing waters and giver of life. Sometimes so abundant and at other times so scarce. Always sacred. Always precious and as with fire can be gentle and fierce. Working with this flute has been such a wonderful journey and with honour and gratitude I name this hand crafted Native American Flute,
Inner Fire Healing Water
She is in the key of F# tuned to 432Hz and is made of Western Red Cedar from British Columbia, Canada I use a combination of burning, sanding and polishing which gives each of these flutes a wonderful smooth finish and unique colour pattern. The Bird totem is made of Eastern Red Cedar that I foraged with my Dad in Upstate New York and has eyes of Malachite. It is held in place with leather lace from North American Whitetail Deer hide. The stone inlay on the flute is yellow Jasper to represent the beauty of the fire within us. The feathers are Buzzard to help us rise above the obstacles we encounter on our journey through life so that we may see our path from a new perspective and Tawny owl, a wisdom carrier and great messenger between worlds.
