From Here to Infinity
 
This flute is very much about connecting to the Melody of our Heart. Within that song we can hear, learn and feel so much.  It’s a place of inspiration and Universal connection.  As I am walking in the forest to find wood for the flutes I create I let my heart guide me and it is during these special moment when I often feel the magic and connection to all that exists. Not just what is here on Mother Earth but also with the stars. While I was searching for the wood for this flute I was aware of each step I made on the forest floor and how I could feel the connection within my heart to Mother Earth and the Universe all around me. This feeling of oneness with all is pure Love and is my inspiration for this flute which is tuned to 528 hz, part of Solfeggio Frequencies. It is one of the most powerful and is called the Frequency of the Heart. To me this flute sings with a clarity that resonates similar to that of the human voice. Her songs feel as if they will be just as clear when they reach the furthest stars as when they are created from the heart of whoever is playing her. It is my hope that these songs will shine light upon all who hear them and create them as they journey From Here to Infinity. This is the name I give with honour and grace to this flute.
 
She is in the key of C tuned to 528Hz and is 46cm (18”).  She is made of Hazel that I foraged from a forest in Oxfordshire near the town of Dorchester. I use a combination of burning, sanding and polishing which gives each of these flutes a wonderful smooth finish and unique colour pattern. The stone inlays at the top of the flute are Turquoise representing the Earth, Yellow Jasper representing the Sun and Blue Lapiz for the Infinite Universe.  The block is made of Maple from the eastern United States and is held in place with leather lace from North American Whitetail Deer hide. The lashing at each end is artificial sinew and the feathers are Red Kite which as always were found while I am walking with Mother Nature or gifted to me by friends.
