Compassionate Light
 
This flute is about nurturing the place within ourselves where compassion lives. This deep centre that shines inside our hearts is so important in helping us find our way along this sacred journey of life. The voice of this flute resonates so strongly in the heart centre. Her resonate vibrations can be felt in each note. She is a healing flute that can help those who play her as well as those who hear her. While creating this flute my intention was about being authentic and true to myself and with a strong foundation of authenticity my compassion flows in abundance. It is my hope that all who connect with this flute whether through playing her or feeling and hearing the songs she sings will find the compassion in their hearts grow stronger, glow stronger and shine brightly to the Universe and within. In honour of this I name this flute
Compassionate Light
 
She is in the key of D tuned to 432Hz and is 64cm (25”).  She is made from Red Cedar from British Columbia, Canada. Due to the offset finger holes this flute is best suited for someone who plays with their right hand at the foot of the flute. I use a combination of burning, sanding and polishing which gives each of these flutes a wonderful smooth finish and unique colour pattern. The stone inlays are Turquoise. The block is made of Maple hat my Dad foraged in Upstate New York and is held in place with leather lace from North American Whitetail Deer hide and has Turquoise eyes.The lashing around the body of the flute is artificial sinew. The feathers are Buzzard and Barred Owl which as always were found while I am walking with Mother Nature or gifted to me by friends.
